Each CAREgift is part of a CARE development project empowering women, girls and their communities to LIVE, LEARN, EARN and LEAD so they can overcome poverty.
CARE works with the most vulnerable people in a community to determine their needs, and provides training and support to help them overcome barriers to a better future. Members of the community are involved in all of CARE's projects.
Donations from the sale of a CAREgift contribute to the sector the item is associated with – health, education, livelihood improvement or leadership. The funds from the sale of a blackboard, for example, will improve girls' and boys' access to education.
